For anyone looking for easy, bite-sized conservation advice, the National Parks Service Conserve O Grams is a necessary resource. The site offers "short, focused technical leaflets" for the care of museum collections. While the leaflets are written for museum conservation staff, they also serve as a quick guide for archivists who may need to perform light conservation in their own collections. Topics include disaster response, flattening paper objects, caring for photographs, packing and shipping, and even building a mount for a leather saddle! This is definitely a great reference for archivists to have in their toolkit!
