Purpose

Views is the official publication of the Visual Materials Section (VMS) of the Society of American Archivists. VMS promotes communication among visual materials archivists, and represents appropriate care, management, and use of visual materials collections to the greater archival community.

Background

Views started in 1987 evolving from a newsletter to a digital magazine. Check out past issues in our archive. In the fall of 2019 Views moved to a blog format with the intention of being more accessible. We are thankful to our editors and the VMS steering committee for all of their contributions to the blog.

 

Participate
