Hello, all,
I’m very excited to be an incoming Member-at-Large of the Visual Materials Section! I’m currently the Arts Archivist at the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library at Yale University, where I work with a large variety of visual materials. Here, I have the opportunity to not only process arts archives, but also to teach with them and create exhibitions. We have great graphic design collections; my favorite new acquisition is the papers of graphic designer, public artist, and educator Sheila Levrant de Bretteville.
I have an MLIS and an MA in History from Simmons University and a BA in Art History from the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to my current position, I worked with visual materials in the archives of a wide range of institutions, including the Barnes Foundation, the Free Library of Philadelphia, Boston College, and Tufts University. VMS has always been a great resource for me, and I look forward to contributing to its work in the coming years!
Adrienne Pruitt, MA, MLIS, VMS Member-At-Large (2025-2028), Arts Archivist, Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library, Yale University
